HMP Consultancy Services is one of the older labour law practices in Vadodara, founded in 1978 by the late H. M. Patel to represent employers during what the firm describes as the trade-union era of Gujarat industry. Advocate Rajesh Shah has led the practice since 1988 and advocate Karan Shah has handled court matters since 2017. From its office at Abhishek Complex on the GIDC-Vadsar road in Makarpura, HMP advises on strikes and lockouts, disciplinary action and departmental enquiries, appears before labour and industrial courts and other judicial authorities, and carries out registrations and renewals under the labour laws. It also offers HR outsourcing, HR audits, industrial health and safety compliance, MSME services, training for HR staff and seminars on legal amendments, and runs an HR compliance portal for clients. The firm’s own counters cite more than 1,500 employment matters, 542 strikes resolved and over five million payrolls processed, with key clients described as Fortune 300 companies.
