Manufacturing HR is governed by the Factories Act, which applies to premises with 10 workers using power or 20 without, and layers on standing orders at 100 workmen, contract labour licensing, apprenticeship obligations at 30 employees and a Welfare Officer at 500. The services plants buy most are blue-collar and contract staffing, PF and ESIC administration, statutory compliance across multiple acts, industrial relations advice and skills training for operators. When choosing a provider, ask whether it has worked with a factory of your size in your state, whether it understands shift rules, overtime at double rate and leave with wages, and how it handles inspections by the factory inspectorate and labour department.
Firms on this page have declared manufacturing as a core sector. Each listing shows a focus bar, minimum engagement and rate band, and the moderated reviews come from plant heads and factory HR managers. Filter by city to find providers near industrial estates, since site visits and local inspector relationships matter in this sector.
The Factories Act covers working hours, overtime at twice the ordinary rate, leave with wages, safety and welfare. Standing orders are needed at 100 workmen (50 in some states), a Welfare Officer at 500 workers and a Safety Officer at 1,000. The Contract Labour Act applies to contractors on site.
Most use licensed contract staffing suppliers for 20% to 40% of the shop-floor headcount, fixed-term employment where state rules allow it, and apprentices under NAPS. Each route has its own compliance requirements, and permanent-nature work should not be staffed indefinitely on contract.
A compliance retainer covering registers, returns, licence renewals and inspection support typically runs ₹10,000 to ₹40,000 per month for a plant of 100 to 500 workers. Contract labour audits, factory licence renewals and standing order certification are usually quoted separately.
