About PF & ESIC consultants in India

PF and ESIC consultants handle the two statutory schemes that cause the most day-to-day trouble for Indian employers. Provident Fund becomes mandatory once an establishment reaches 20 employees, with 12% contributions from both employee and employer on wages up to ₹15,000 (higher voluntarily), while ESIC applies at 10 employees in most states to staff earning up to ₹21,000 a month, at 0.75% and 3.25% respectively. Consultants charge a monthly fee, often ₹1,500 to ₹10,000 depending on headcount, for ECR preparation, challan generation, UAN and IP number allotment, KYC corrections, transfer and withdrawal claims, and handling of Section 7A inquiries. Ask how they deal with employee grievances about unsettled claims, which is where most complaints arise.

Consultants listed here show their monthly fee band, minimum engagement and a focus bar indicating whether PF and ESIC work is their specialism or one of many services. Reviews from employers cover accuracy of monthly filings, responsiveness on claims and inspection support, all of which matter more than price.

Frequently asked questions

When does PF become mandatory for a company?

Under the EPF Act, an establishment with 20 or more employees must register within one month of reaching that strength. Registration is voluntary below 20. Once covered, an establishment remains covered even if headcount later falls below the threshold.

What is the ESIC wage ceiling?

ESIC covers employees earning gross wages up to ₹21,000 per month (₹25,000 for persons with disability). Contribution rates are 0.75% from the employee and 3.25% from the employer. Employees earning below ₹176 per day are exempt from their share.

What does a PF consultant charge?

Monthly fees typically start at ₹1,500 for very small establishments and rise to ₹10,000 or more for several hundred employees. Registration, Section 7A inquiry representation and bulk KYC or claim corrections are usually priced as separate one-off items.
